Milford, PA – This morning Milford and Matamoras business owners opened up their offices and stores to the deading “non-sound” of no ringing phones.
When customer’s try to call a business who is using local land line phone service customers are getting all lines are busy or “this number is not in service” messages.
In fact, if you are using local land lines for your phone service, you may be able to call around locally but not long distance. People who are using internet phone services such as Vonage may be able to call long distance but not local. If you are using PTD or prolog for your phone service you may be able to call around locally, but not long distance.
Cell phone service and 800 numbers appear to be affected as well.
“I was told by the phone man that it’s a problem in Verizon’s network in Montgomery, New York” said Liz Lauterstein of Eagles Nest, a Catering facility in Bloomburg, New York. “All I know is that its big and its a mess she said”.
