Pike County Court Sentencing Information Thursday October 15, 2009

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the Following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:

Daniel Smith, age 20, of Matamoras, PA was sentenced to probation for 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $ 500.00, and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession of Small Amount of Marihuana. On March 8, 2009, Smith was found in possession of less than 30 grams of Marihuana in Westfall Township.

Anthony Acampora, age 19, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to probation for one year and ordered to pay of fine of $ 500.00 for the crime of Simple Assault. On March 27, 2009, Acampora repeatedly punched a person in the face at the Delaware Valley High School in Westfall Township.

Joel Donnini, age 34, of Lake Ariel, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 48 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 500.00, and had his driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On April 4, 2009, Donnini was pulled over on Ledgedale Road in Greene Township. His blood alcohol level was .103%.

Zibigniew Borowy, age 50, of Westbrookville, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 72 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,000.00, and had his driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On March 21, 2009, Borowy was pulled over in Westfall Township. His blood alcohol level was .161%.

Diane Medici, age 51, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 3 to 23 months and ordered to pay a fine of $ 500.00 for the crime of Forgery. On April 2, 2009, Medici changed the date of the prescription the doctor had originally written, at the K-Mart Pharmacy in Westfall Township.

Robert Garrabrant, age 50, of Scranton, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 2 to 6 months followed by a year of probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $ 400.00 for the crimes of Default in Required Appearance, and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft. On December 23, 2007, Garrabrant and his co-defendants took seven cartons of cigarettes from Rite-Aide in Blooming Grove Township. In a separate incident on January 30, 2009, Garrabrant failed to appear at Magisterial District Judge Stephen McBride office to start carrying out a sentence of imprisonment previously issued by the Judge.

Christopher Bard, age 31, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 1 to 18 months and ordered to pay a fine of $ 800.00 for the crime of Forgery. On April 7, 2009, Bard forged the signature of a doctor so he could obtain prescription pills.
Riky Novak, age 35, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County jail for 1 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $ 500.00 for the crime of Tampering with Public Records. On October 12, 2008, Novak presented another person’s birth certificate to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Milford Borough to obtain a driver’s license, in another name.

Andrew Dodd, age 22, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 9 to 23 months, pay a fine of $ 500.00 and ordered to pay restitution for the crime of Burglary. Between May 25 and May 27, 2009, Dodd used a crowbar to enter the rear door of the Pike County Licensing, in Delaware Township. Once inside Dodd, stole approximately $ 2,000.00.

Margo Rahn, age 47, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 72 hours to 6 months, followed by 6 months of probation, pay a fine of $ 1,300.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On March 31, 2009, Rahn was pulled over in Lehman Township. Her blood alcohol level was .27%.

Raymond Ryder, age 44, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for the 72 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On March 1, 2009, Ryder was stopped at a D.U.I checkpoint in Westfall Township. Ryder was found to be under the influence of alcohol and refused to consent to a blood alcohol test.

Mary Murison, age 43, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 90 days to 5 years, pay a fine of $ 1,500.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. On April 26, 2007, Murison drove her vehicle off the road in Gold Key Lakes, Dingmans Township. She was found to be driving under the influence of Xanax and Vicodine.
