Police Seize Drugs And Cash In Dingmans Ferry

MILFORD, PA - Pike County District Attorney, Ray Tonkin, announced that the Pike County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police served a search warrant on a residence in Birchwood Lakes in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania. As a result of the search at the residence and storage shed police discovered a significant quantity of drugs and drug related items. Police found:
1 oz cocaine Cutting agents
360 bags of heroin Package materials
116 ecstasy pills $ 20,328.00 in U.S. Currency
31 morphine pills 76 grams of marihuana
59 hydrocodone pills $ 2,160.00 in counterfeit U.S. Currency
In addition, police discovered three counterfeit Pennsylvania Driver’s Licenses and one counterfeit New York drivers License bearing a picture of McManus and the identifying information of four other individuals.
The resident of the home searched by police has been charged with various offenses. John McManus, age 36, of Dingmans Ferry has been charged with 6 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, all felonies, forgery, a felony, identity theft, a misdemeanor and drug paraphernalia charges. McManus was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Deborah Fischer and remanded to the Pike County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail.
McManus has three other cases pending before the Pike County Court of Common Please involving charges of Forgery, Tampering with Records or Identification, Identity Theft, and Access Device Fraud.
A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for May 6 at 1:00 p.m. before Judge Fischer.
According to District Attorney Ray Tonkin they have been seeing an increase in drug trafficking arrest in the County over the past several years
