Tri-States Area Girl Scouts Visit PJVAC
Local Girl Scouts were given an informative and enjoyable tour of Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps recently. The young scouts really enjoyed their tour and the hospitality of the volunteer medical service/transport providers.

Community Invited to June 16th Rose Luncheon
Port Jervis' historic First Presbyterian Church officials and members will host a time-honored traditional Rose Luncheon on June 16th, in memory of four recently deceased beloved members of the church's congregation.

Church to Honor Four Late Members
The community, fellow church members, friends, and families of Priscilla Fenstermacher, Shirley Carlton-Warnshius, Doris Quick, and Christine Canzio joined to grieve their loss last year. On June 16th they will join for the church’s long-standing Rose Luncheon tradition and to remember four lifetimes of contributions.

NORAD Exercise Flights Planned Over Parts of New York And Pennsylvania
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct exercise flights tomorrow, May 26 in the skies in the vicinity of Glens Falls and Albany, N.Y. to Scranton, PA. The flights will take place in the late-morning, and people may hear and see NORAD fighter aircraft in close proximity with DOD contracted general aviation aircraft as they practice their intercept and identification procedures.

Eastern Pike Regional Police Department Joins Click It or Ticket 2010
Matamoras, Pa – In 2008, 12,671 passenger vehicle occupants died in motor vehicle crashes nationwide between the nighttime hours of 6 p.m. and 5:59 a.m., according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Nearly two-thirds (64%) of those who died were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crashes, compared to less than half (45%) of the passenger vehicle occupants killed during the daytime hours of 6 a.m. to 5:59 p.m.
